Two years ago, I had the opportunity to play at a nursing home, and it allowed me to see firsthand the power of music on senior citizens. Through local student musicians like myself, we hope to regularly play music for the elderly in care facilities around Cleveland. Last year, we partnered with the Day by Day project to extend out impact through novel music centered dementia therapy programs known as "silent discos". Through this, we hope to better bring to light the powerful impact of music on providing joy and healing to senior citizens and dementia patients alike in Greater Cleveland.
